Everyone wants to play like the pros and improve their golf game. Three years ago, I was playing golf on the day of my best friend’s wedding. After about hole 10 or 11, I was told that I was no longer able to play because:
Three years later, I’m currently around a 10 handicap, I’m able to play with my friends, and golf is fun!
For those of you who are struggling, here are a few ways you can improve your game.
1. Read Golf Books.
2. Follow on Instagram.
The easiest way to get better at your golf game is to follow Instagram for free tips and drills.
3. Take Lessons.
Find a pro in your area you enjoy practicing with. If you can’t afford to do private lessons, look into group sessions.
4. Practice Chipping and Putting Three Times Per Week.
Your swing is always a work in progress but chipping and putting are the easiest ways to get out of trouble. Plus, courses typically don’t charge you to use their facilities!
5. Don’t Invest in Fancy Golf Clubs:
Until you’re playing regularly and are happy with your game, purchasing top-of-the-line golf clubs are not worth the investment. The first club I would recommend spending money on would be a putter. As the mantra goes,
“Drive for show, putt for dough.”
